The place for passionate cooks
I've agreed to provide canapes for a friends cocktail party for 30 and I have a ton of ideas of what to do.
I do however have a small problem in that the venue doesn't have an ideal set up place that I can construct them, so I will have to complete them and then transport them done.
It will take me about 3 hours to get to the venue and be ready to rock so my fear is that any that are on bellini, filo or crutes etc will make the base soggy and not very nice to eat.
I will be doing some on spoons, sticks and little gem hearts which won't be a problem but I wanted to provide some variation on presentation and texture.
Can anyone offer any advise on whether it is likely they will go soggy, or an idea of canape bases for this situation ?
Thanks in advance!
Tony
