It was going to be the next big thing wasn't it?
A lot of hard work cooking for numbers - bit like running a restaurant - lots of work, lots of stress, lots of cleaning up and you probably would struggle to cover your costs. But it could be good fun as well. I think it could work really well if you do it for family and friends (and their guests).

Are you thinking of running one?
Been trying to find some up north to try out. I love the idea of having a go myself....so watch this space ;-)

I've joined this link to find out a bit more:

Love the idea... don't know much about it. I'd wonder what to charge. I've been asked by a neighbour to cook for a dinner party she's having (6 people) - again, not sure what to charge.
How much would they pay at a Restaurant?  travel for them to get their. Taxi?
I would charge £30 per head , canapés , starter , main course , dessert . Get them to bring there own wine but you provide water . If the nights a success then you can expect a tip on top . It would take a few supper clubs to see any profit .

We've been to a supperclub in Amsterdam - an interesting concept and a lot of fun!  The 'beds' could have done with a few more cushions especially when the food was served but otherwise really enjoyed dinner in bed!!  They served each course on a tray with legs so that it could be stood over our legs.

A bit late to this but I've just set up a Supperclub here in Bath.

I did the Intermediate Course last May/June, wanted to explore cooking avenues and this is a relatively risk free way of dipping your toe in the water. We did our first one a few days ago. It was £25 'contribution' for Bubbly and Canapes, Starter, Main, Dessert and Coffee with Petits Fours. Was a fantastic experience (for us too) and incredibly social. Not really for profit but you do earn a tiny amount.

I tried a Heston Lemon Tart recipe and it didn't work so well so fell back to my trusty Ashburton folder and it delivered a fantastic Tarte au Citron.

All I can say is give it a go! (And check us out if you're ever down here http://sydssupperclub.blogspot.co.uk/ )

Hi David

Looks like it was a fantastic evening all round!

My mouth was watering looking at the food.  Good luck with any future Supper Clubs you run - keep posting pictures!
