Permalink Reply by Jane Keogh on March 25, 2012 at 9:28 We've been to a supperclub in Amsterdam - an interesting concept and a lot of fun! The 'beds' could have done with a few more cushions especially when the food was served but otherwise really enjoyed dinner in bed!! They served each course on a tray with legs so that it could be stood over our legs.
Permalink Reply by David Cross on April 16, 2012 at 21:36 A bit late to this but I've just set up a Supperclub here in Bath.
I did the Intermediate Course last May/June, wanted to explore cooking avenues and this is a relatively risk free way of dipping your toe in the water. We did our first one a few days ago. It was £25 'contribution' for Bubbly and Canapes, Starter, Main, Dessert and Coffee with Petits Fours. Was a fantastic experience (for us too) and incredibly social. Not really for profit but you do earn a tiny amount.
I tried a Heston Lemon Tart recipe and it didn't work so well so fell back to my trusty Ashburton folder and it delivered a fantastic Tarte au Citron.
All I can say is give it a go! (And check us out if you're ever down here http://sydssupperclub.blogspot.co.uk/ )
Hi David
Looks like it was a fantastic evening all round!
My mouth was watering looking at the food. Good luck with any future Supper Clubs you run - keep posting pictures!
