I think our bottom fan assisted oven is rather hotter than the settings. For example I made what I thought would be a lovely sticky toffee pudding strictly from a recipe based around the original Cartmel recipe. The instructions were to leave it in the oven for between one and one and a half hours. Well you can guess.
