The place for passionate cooks
Hi Rhian, sounds like you've done loads! I'd forgotten about the lamb tagine, but since being reminded of it, I've made it and really liked it. I haven't bought a fryer yet, but plan to do so quite soon.
I've done a few things from the course, like ice cream, but now that I'm working I don't have time to keep on taking it out of the freezer to stir every hour. The coq au vin ended up quite messy - turns out it's a bad idea to deglaze a nonstick pan. It caused fatty drops of red wine to go all over the kitchen. I think I've found the main things I've learned are to be properly organised when I'm cooking, and to have confidence when I'm doing new things.
I've done some linguine, and various biscuits too.
The job at Primark has been going well, but I'm also looking for something else.
Are you still looking after elderly people? Any plans for a cafe?
Rachel
