We are busy harvesting an amazing range of bizarre and unusual vegetables and other fantastic edibles for the chefs to use at the upcoming Ashburton Food & Drink Festival. Come and find us at the festival and learn more about some extraordinary ingredients to cook with - everything from Calendula Sugars to Peruvian root tubers! Here at the Husbandry School we are famous for our Salad bags with herbs and edible flowers - over 68 different ingredients in each pack. Come and see if you can guess what they all are. All this picking keeps the salad wenches busy!
Buckington, Delphi, Piki and Tinks our Boer and Cashmir goats plus 3 babies have finally arrived and are settling into their new home. We will be able to provide some long awaited goat meat by the autumn of next year.
We also have lots of courses on offer during the rest of 2011 and beyond, everything from Basket Making, hedge laying and Stone Walling and Art on the Land. Visit our website for all the details and also look out for our 'Dirt to Dinner' courses in 2012.
